Marine Corps: Aviation & MEU Deployments
From V-22 maintenance to Okinawa life — five years of service, discipline, and skybound missions
I served in the United States Marine Corps from 2015 to 2020, reaching the rank of Corporal (E-4). Stationed primarily in Okinawa, Japan, I worked as an aviation mechanic on the MV-22 Osprey — a tiltrotor aircraft with the vertical lift of a helicopter and the speed of a plane.
✈️ Aviation Mechanic – V-22 Osprey
- 🛠️ Performed routine and emergency maintenance on hydraulic, flight control, and drive systems
- 🔧 Troubleshot issues across engines, prop-rotors, and avionics support systems
- 📋 Qualified as Plane Captain — responsible for final inspections before launch and recovery

- 🌊 Deployed on two Marine Expeditionary Units (MEUs) aboard U.S. Navy amphibious ships
